This is the newly developed Professional RageCams Model FI-28mpcs f2.0 1/2.7" mega pixel IR lens.
Its a much higher quality glass optics lens solution for making your view wider on the Arecont  IP cameras.
Great human eye perspective field of view.
The screen shot is an actual in use picture of that lens & it catches the sunshade a little at the top of the photo as you can see the outdoor housing it is in.
Using a 2.8mm lens will get this degree field of view:
( 1/2.7" CMOS = 135 degrees field of view (FOV)
Just look at the difference between the 2.8mm 5mm, the 8mm views, You may have the 12mm now which is real narrow.
